The MHRD is also considering solutions to make students aware of the fake universities abroad in a joint effort with Ministry of External Affairs. Also, the central authorities have started a portal called "Know Your College" and a mobile app which will help students across the country to learn each and everything about the colleges they are willing to join via a transparent and trustworthy medium.

"It is an endeavor to persistently act on injustices meted out to our students through such fake institutions through protection given by the regulator," said Smriti Irani, Union Minister, HRD, Govt. of India. She also asked honorable attendees to share the piece of information with UGC.
Few top engineering colleges in Bhopal like MANIT & SISTec along with few top pharmacy colleges in Bhopal (SIPTec, Bansal etc) and School of Management Studies plus IPER (best MBA colleges in Bhopal) have taken an initiative to expose those guilty universities to help save the rights of students by making them aware of such frauds.
But my problem is how could these institutes been given a name 'university' without the UGC's concurrence so far? Could they be sued in the court of law?
ReplyDeleteUtter nonsense that no action can be taken against them. Who so ever had been running these fake universities should be charged U/C 420 IPC. Will not be surprised if some of them are or were law makers. Sure no action will be initiated against them in Secular..or i must say 'sick'ular India..Good, Aspiring students should make a note of these before taking admission!
Do these fake Universities have blessings of ruling Govts/Central Govt? If not , then why their advertisements are published in Newspapers, why are they being allowed to be aired on TV Channels, or any type of media publicity means. Why no action is being taken for looting so many innocent students. Is there act not covered under IPC 420. there are so many Rules made by UGC, but who will ensure these rules are followed. It should be mandatory, to obtain permission from UGC, before publication of any public advt to get such media publicity for Admissions. It will prevent ignorant students falling in the trap.
ReplyDeleteYha agree with you !! Media-Politics nexus ..playing its role ..
